New Old Studio – Hawkeye Studio
March 1, 2019 11:21 amFinally moved back to the old Studio in Walcot Street central Bath after some happy years spent out in the countryside. It was a really hard to make the decision to leave the last studio at the Rocks as the surroundings were just beautiful & I loved the drive too & from work. Not many people get to work in a castle..though it did have its drawbacks… mainly being very cold…always!!
Here’s some images I took last month of the view across the Wiltshire countryside as I drove to work…it truly was stunning sometimes.
I’ll certainly miss the woods & seeing how the seasons change.
I’ll especially miss my favourite tree. It was on the track down to the studio & as I passed it I’d often stop & take a picture as I saw it in many different seasons & lighting conditions. This one was shot by moonlight late one night on my way home
It was good to have a clear out of all the rubbish that you seem to accumulate along the way..all the props & backgrounds that are bought & left by clients over the years. The studio felt a lot bigger once I’d got rid of a load… maybe I should do that more often?
The new old studio…seems an apt name took a few weeks to paint & set back up. It feels so familiar & I’m looking forward to having decent broadband…. some shops that are a short walk away rather than a drive…. & being able to go to the pub after work with my crew/clients will be an added bonus!
Already the studio has been busy with 4 shoots in the last week… hopefully it’ll stay that way.
